WATCHCHECK

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 18, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and WatchCheck when you use the app. They're written to be readable. By creating an account or using WatchCheck, you agree to them.

What WatchCheck is

WatchCheck is a mobile app that helps you evaluate a used watch listing before you buy it, and estimate the resale value of a watch you own. You provide photos and details, and the app uses artificial intelligence to produce an assessment, scores, and suggestions.

WatchCheck is not a marketplace. We don't sell, buy, hold, ship, or authenticate watches, and we're not a party to any transaction between you and a buyer or seller.

AI estimates, not advice

Everything WatchCheck produces is an AI-generated estimate. It is not a professional appraisal, an authentication, a guarantee of value or condition, or financial advice.

The assessment is based on the photos and details you give us and on publicly available market information. It can't inspect a watch in person, open a case back, or test a movement, and it can be wrong. Prices change, listings can be misleading, and counterfeits can be convincing in photos.

You are responsible for your own buying and selling decisions. For a significant purchase, get an in-person inspection or authentication from a qualified watchmaker or reputable dealer before you pay.

Your account

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and details you upload. You give WatchCheck permission to store them and to process them, including sending them to our AI provider, only to operate the features you ask for. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how you can delete it.

Only upload photos and text you have the right to use. Don't upload anything illegal, or anything that contains other people's private information.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

We may limit or suspend accounts that do.

Free plan and Pro subscription

WatchCheck has a free plan with a monthly limit on AI scans and other limits shown in the app. WatchCheck Pro is an optional paid subscription that raises those limits and unlocks additional features. What's included is described on the upgrade screen at the time you subscribe.

Third parties

WatchCheck isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any watch brand, manufacturer, marketplace, or seller. Brand and model names are used only to identify the watches you ask about and belong to their owners.

Listings and links you paste in come from other websites. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or accuracy.

Disclaimers

WatchCheck is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any estimate, score, or suggestion will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your purposes.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, WatchCheck and the people who run it aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for losses from a purchase or sale you make, including paying too much, buying a counterfeit or misdescribed watch, or selling for less than you could have. Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you haven't paid anything.

Some places don't allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Ending your account

You can stop using WatchCheck at any time, and you can permanently delete your account and all its data from Profile, Settings, then Delete account. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an active Pro subscription. Cancel it through Apple first so you aren't charged again.

We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or put the app or other users at risk.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of WatchCheck after a change means you accept the updated terms.
